Each full stop halves or doubles the light. Doubling the shutter time and closing the aperture one stop leaves exposure unchanged.

Questions people ask
Which sensor should I pick for an iPhone?
Choose “iPhone main camera” for the 1× lens and “iPhone telephoto / ultra-wide” for the others. iPhone focal lengths are usually quoted as full-frame equivalents (24 mm, 48 mm, 120 mm); the actual lens is that divided by the crop factor, about 6.9 mm for the 24 mm main camera.
Are these calculators exact?
Depth of field depends on the circle of confusion you accept, so treat near/far limits as guidance, not hard edges. Field of view, exposure, ND and file-size maths are exact for the inputs given; iPhone video bitrates are Apple’s estimates.
